Hi! I'm Simone Collins. I've spent many years training people around the world in a wide range of areas. Now I'm bringing my knowledge here, for you.
I have been a sought-after trainer and speaker since the early 2000s, in areas ranging from leadership development, community building, membership engagement, social media and marketing, health and more. I am in the process of centralising resources and re-purposing years of training materials into articles and courses here on this website, so that you can access my years of experience and knowledge wherever you are.
If you're building up your profile, your business or organisation, I'm your gal.
Everything I've trained on has been tried and tested personally, through the various organisations I've played a leadership role in, the businesses I have successfully run and through my own personal growth and development.
I started teaching music in 1997, when I first moved out of home at the age of 19, while I was studying at University. Without a piano at home at the time (I had a small keyboard that lived under my bed, plus my organ), I taught on a mobile…

This time 11 years ago I was in Bangkok, Thailand, attending the 2012 Rotary International Convention. I was kept exceptionally busy, as I presented a keynote speech on social media at the International Institute (a pre-Convention activity for the senior Rotary Leaders), before participating in a panel session that same…

This week I’ve seen some sad posts by music teachers who decided to change their domain name and/or website and destroyed their previously high google rankings in the process. Neither a domain name change nor launching a new website under your old domain name should negatively impact your search engine…

My first suite of courses are aimed specifically at Studio Music Teachers, under the Successful Music Studio. Other “schools” with different audiences will follow later! The first course launched is “Sourcing Local Students – without breaking the bank!“. This is a very practical course which, while it won’t take that…

I’m delighted to have launched a new website for the West Australian Music Teachers Association at wamta.au! The old website was hosted in Joomla, and was a regular source of discontent. The teachers directory doesn’t rank for search results (unless you are googling a particular teacher’s name), and the member’s…

A word of mouth referral saw me helping a new book keeping business in Townsville, Queensland set up their marketing strategy on a shoestring budget. I helped Betta Biz Books by: I wish Lenore all the best with her new venture! She is well and truly qualified and experienced, and…

Having assisted my friend Jan McMillan launch her Thinkific School “Music Moments” in 2021, I spent a lot of time evaluating which platform to go with to launch my own (first!) online School, the Successful Music Studio. I ended up choosing Teachable. Part of my decision was cost – for…

I’ve just launched a stand alone website for the West Australian Music Teachers’ Association Recital & Concerto competition at rcc.wamta.au. Previously, information about the Recital & Concerto Competition – aimed at Teachers who may or may not be WAMTA members as well as Parents – was buried within the “Events”…

It has been my privilege to help Dr Jan McMillan of musicmoments.com, who is about to launch a couple of online courses in piano pedagogy. I moved her website out of Wix and into Thinkific, setting everything up on the front end with a lovely, professional site that is all…
